About MK Conversions General Builders

M K Conversions Ltd of Sedbergh, Cumbria has been established approximately 20 years.  We currently have a first class workforce which includes time-served stonemasons, roofers, plasterers, joiners, bricklayers etc.  We carry out all aspects of building work including new builds, extensions, alterations and, as our name suggests, conversions – mainly of old buildings into new dwellings.

We are members of the Federation of Master Builders and have many clients who can provide references for us which cover all aspects of our work.  Over the years we have built up a good reputation as being reliable and conscientious.

We have carried out various eco-friendly projects including roofing, lime plastering and limecreting floors and have installed rainwater harvesting systems, ground source heat pumps and solar roofing panels.  We have worked on many historical and listed buildings in the area and have worked with English Heritage and DEFRA in the past.  Some of our staff who have attended specialist courses to enable them to carry out such specialised work competently and sympathetically.
